Reality 1.01 has been released.
Less than a month since version 1.0 has been released, a new update to Reality is now live at the DAZ Store. This version includes a 64 bit version of the plug-in for Windows users and a number of improvements and fixes. This is proof of the commitment to this exciting new way of rendering 3D Art in DAZ Studio. The release is a free upgrade for all 1.0 users and can be obtained by simply resetting your download in your DAZ account. The full list of changes is here:
- New: 64 bits version for Windows.
- Fixed: resizing of the GUI under Windows
- Fixed: Displacement checkbox was not accessible under Windows
- Fixed: DOF’s f/stop didn’t have a default value, could crash Lux.
- Fixed: scene scale was too big.
- Fixed: Studio crashed when Reality was called with only point lights in the scene.
- Added: scene scale parameter in the Output tab.
- Fixed: could not copy/paste Water material
- Improved: new glossiness function delivers better result straight out of the box.
- Fixed: metal editor is now acting correctly.
- Improved: set the default metal to Aluminum, as requested by users.
- Fixed: f/stop 5.6 is back in the DOF options
- Mesh lights maximum power is now 5,000 watts, previously they were clamped at 100w

$25 would be resonable, considering the constant delays everytime DAZ Studio goes through a major upgrade AND it’s just a render plug-in limited to just Studio.
The price for the plugin is $79.95, it’s been on sale at $49.57 (38% off) for a little more than one month, which is longer than most promotions. I’m doing everything possible to give everybody a chance to get this. Since DAZ is taking 50% of every product that they broker, cutting more would make this operation not worth doing. So the alternative is to not have the plugin at all.

this is a fantastci render engine, i have rendered a daz scene with reality, and its as if i rendered it in vue 8. this is fantastic product , will bring the daz studio to the next level.

This is such a good product. I hope the next version will have better defaults (glossiness etc) to bring down render times..
