Update on the support for Studio 4.5
The second beta of Reality 2.5 has been sent to the testers. The support for .duf file format seems to be working perfectly. The conversion from the .daz to .duf format is completely transparent so there will be nothing that the user will have to do. I’m waiting from the testers to confirm that the update works for them too. Once confirmed we will just have to wait from DAZ to release 4.5 officially.

What is the .DUF file format?
Studio 4.5 does not use the .daz file format for saving its scenes. The .duf file format is how Studio 4.5 saves a scene now. Because it’s a completely new format it was necessary to support it and to provide a conversion system in order to make Reality able to save its own data.

I’ve been eagerly waiting for the Reality update so that I could usefully contribute to the 4.5 beta. (At this point, DS without Reality is just too painful to use for more than a day, so I reverted to 4.0 while waiting.) Is there any chance of getting hold of the test version so that I can try out the betas together?

Thank you very much for your interest. At this time we are completing the beta testing and we are not adding testers to the pool. As soon as DAZ releases Studio 4.5 we will provide a free update to all users of Reality 2. All the best.
How does one get added to the testers pool?

At this time I’m not adding any testers. When we will be test Reality 3 I will be lloking for more testers. The best way to become a tester is to have a gallery of good renders and send me a link to it with your request to become a tester. I will need a *short* description of the computer setup: what OS, bitness level, presence of GPU.
You can send me your application whenever you want, I will keep it in the file until I will be lloking for new testers.
