For luxrender only i would go for AMD. But, if you do use other render engines like Iray go for Nvidia. I wanted to use other programs like 3D photo scanning, it is almost all Cuda depended and that is Nvidia. Next year it is time to look for a new computer, i will go for Nvidia and Intel. I keep my...

It looks like one point of the stockings (the right one) is orientated at the left stockings.
I bet if you delete, in blender, the left one the problem is gone.
Luxrender is very unforgiving about modeling. So the vendor has to solve this.
