Re: Can't Download Link Reality Studio Edition - Windows 64-bit

I can confirm that Reality 4.3.1 x64 for DS download works from IE and Edge as just downloaded it no problems from both.

Regards

Lee

Edit : Also downloaded with Chrome with no issues and that is both x64 versions of the DS & Poser variants

Re: Displacement question again...

In essence morphs (HD or otherwise) are nothing more than displacements in that they actually alter the base mesh, the amount control is basically the same as adjusting the brightness or strength of a displacement map. The higher the subdivision the more detail that is revealed. I cannot say for cer...

Re: Sharp Edges?

Subdivision of any kind does not effect or change sharp edges, take a cube and subdivide it 100 times and you still end up with a cube with sharp edges. The phong angle is what determines how straight or curved an edge is, I won't go into any detail about it as it's a complex subject & don't wan...

Re: Light Emitter

A gain of 1/100000 (0.00001) is very low, I rarely go lower than 1/1000 (0.001) even rarer 1/10000 (0.0001) max. I'm just wondering if LuxClassic (CPU-No Acceleration) may have an issue with a gain that low. To be honest I'm not sure what a gain of 1 is equivalent to in relation to normal mesh light...

Re: Z Depth Map

It's on my to-do list but not been using Lux much at all recently. From what I can make out these pages from the wiki give a rough idea of what to do http://www.luxrender.net/wiki/Render_passes http://www.luxrender.net/wiki/LuxCore#AOVs_.28Arbitrary_Output_Variables.29 These lines in particular are ...

Re: Adding oomph to your rendering time

One thing worth noting about my previous post about Lux is when it is set to linear does it actually replicate as a real digital camera sensor or the film on a traditional camera. By that I mean on a real camera the higher the ISO the more grainy/noisy the image, same with the Aperture in that on a ...

Re: Adding oomph to your rendering time

This is how I think LuxRender works, although I could be way off, but from a programmers point of view it makes sense (and i'm not prepared to trawl through thousands of lines of code to find out lol). Whatever you have in your .lxs scene file is what Lux uses to base the render on, by that I mean l...

Re: Adding oomph to your rendering time

5 Days :o :o :o :o Honestly I would give up 3d for life if I had to wait that long for a render lol. I have to be honest & say that I've not used Lux for a little while for my renders. Not because of Reality as that does pretty much everything I need but Lux, i'm still peeved that there is still...
