Re: UltraScatter Advanced Instancing

I get the same error "[2016-08-13 19:22:25 Error: 41] Unable to find instance named 'NO_GUID'" I notice in the material editor that "cube instances" is listed but there is no arrow to expand it because of no materials. At a guess it's the lack of material which is causing the NO_...

Re: Handle Length Purpose

You use it to help aim the light more accurately so it points to exactly where you want it.

Re: Reality 4.2 LIsted as New Product on Renderosity

I cant see the V7 preset on there but if you search Rendo it comes up with 4.2 & 4.2 Upgrades, no mention of 4.3

Re: iRay and Luxrender interchangable terms

Pretty much the only comparison that you can do between renderers is time taken till you get a clean image your happy with. Even with Luxrender itself you will get different quality/samples/times with the 3 modes as in Classic/Accelerated/Boost.

Re: Get rid of render squares

One thought just crossed my mind, try increasing your refresh time from 15secs to 30secs (or possibly 45secs). It could be your not giving Lux enough time update the squares, it's just a theory though. At a guess I would say you have an i7 CPU in your Mac, while it's quite powerful it's not the best...

Re: Get rid of render squares

As far as i'm concerned Marcel we have answered to the best of our ability, yes numerous answers where given to cover the possible causes. I cannot see how the squares remain after another full pass has been completed, I have been a regular tester of Reality & in all that time I have never had t...

Re: Get rid of render squares

Sorry I don't have an answer for that, as I said in a previous message the only time I notice the block's being different is when I change someone's Lux like exposure etc but they disappear after the next render pass. Personally i don't use boost as I dislike it's output, as in aliasing & jaggie...

Re: Get rid of render squares

How Long does a full pass take? It's one of those "How long is a piece a piece of string" question & answers. The bigger the render resolution & complexity of the materials (i,e glass/metal/volumes including SSS), plus what your CPU is (or GPU if using it) & RAM determines how...

Re: Get rid of render squares

I have found that the squares in boost show up more if you change something like the exposure/film response or even changing light gains while it is rendering. It's pretty normal in my eyes as boost uses a tile based method for rendering. Once the renderer has done a full pass of the entire image yo...
