Is there any way to render 360 panorama in Reality for Daz Studio?

Postby borkia » Mon Jul 16, 2018 7:43 am

Hi, maybe it is stupid question, but I search everywhere and did nod find the answer.

So, Is there any way render 360 panorama in Reality for Daz Studio?

I know, that Luxrender (at least current version) itself has Environment Camera, that allows to render 360 degree image from the current camera position, but I did not found the way to switch render camera to Environment one  .

Any Ideas?

Thank You in advance.

You have to code it into the Scene file

if Luxrender had the wiki up still, maybe we could find the exact coding for it
If anyone has archived version of all the coding options for Luxrender from the wiki
we could really use it

Do You mean something like luxcore::Camera Class Reference?https://wiki.luxcorerender.org/static_html/luxcore_api_reference/v2.0/html/classluxcore_1_1Camera.html#a75aeefb1536ac1ded9caabd0fc1d7711

It might be useful for future develop, but at the moment I can not see how it could help :( I`m new to Luxrender

if you open a luxrender scene file (.LSX) file as a wordpad
you can see the coding

for a random file of mine You see somthing like this

Code: Select all

# Camera: CameraA
LookAt -0.389634 -3.66482 1.05928 -0.388544 -3.65495 1.05804 0.000135776 0.00122935 0.00992322
Camera "perspective" "float fov" [30.9573] "float screenwindow" [-0.8 0.8 -1 1]

The problem is thats the set up for LuxRender
as you can see the camera Type is "perspective"
you can change that to "environmental" but what other settings it Needs to make that 360 view is run and look correclty is another
as that "float screenwindow" is the dimensions of the image
followed by lower in the code

Code: Select all

  "integer xresolution" [600]
  "integer yresolution" [750]

in the film segment

if i had an example then i can tell you what you need to do

I`ve tried to change camera type in .LSX file and run the render with standalone version of LuxRender but logs say that standalone version supports only "perspective" camera :(.
Now I`m trying to search the topic deeply in LuxRender forums and documentation... no results at the moment :(
