So I know this isn't why you posted the thread, but I have to ask (because I've been trying to figure it out myself) - how did you get the backgrounds transparent? It looks a lot better than just chopping sections of the image out in photoshop.

You just enable "Transparent BG" in the Render options of Reality.

Cheers.

I checked the "Transparent BG" box: and that works if the background is IBL and there are no geometries behind the character, not even a plane ;)

Ack, ninja'ed  ! what Maestro Paolo said

One thing that happened in some of your renders is happening with mine, in that the materials seem to have a light purplish-blue cast to them.

I have bought the V7 presets and used that also. I don't get the effect with older materials such as V6/G2 character surfaces.
Do you have any tips on how to fix that?

Hi Porphy, I think I know what you mean :geek:

Leave the settings for the Lips as is and try using the earlier recipe for specular on the body: Specular map > texture combine > multiply > select Image Map and choose the same specular map for texture B, then edit texture A and choose texture combine and add the color settings and do the same for texture B. Here are the colors (it's from an earlier version- Color Math is now Texture Combine :geek: )

Here are some results using those specular settings:

Hth! :ugeek:

PS. Personally I prefer to use the lighter Bump map n Texture A and the darker Specular map in Texture B but you can keep it simple 8-) ;)
