Installation Error: Configuration file missing

Postby effin_smartass » Tue Jun 04, 2019 7:50 am

Hello. I've just purchased Reality 4.2.1 for Daz Studio 64-bit version 4.10.0.123, running on MacOS Mojave 10.14.5 (18F132). When I double-click on the RealityInstaller.app, I get the following error (this is copy and pasted): "The configuration file /private/var/folders/wv/4ncflbys31v4jls9tgjpt2d40000gn/T/AppTranslocation/5B993742-64E1-4ABB-B3D7-2E5125C62CC4/d/RealityInstaller.cfg is missing. This installation cannot continue."

I have attached a screenshot.

I haven't seen any similar posts, so please tell me how to correct this. Thank you!

Hi.
This issue is caused by Apple breaking compatibility with past applications. Fortunately there is an easy workaround. Please see this post:

Thank you.

Tried this and it did not work. Tried deleting and re-downloading, re-starting, and other obvious steps along with your linked work around, and it's still doing the same error. Please let me know whether you have another solution. Thanks

Try this, 1st launch the Terminal, Next Right Click on the RealityInstaller.app and select Show Package Contents,
Now Navigate to Contents/MacOS then Click on the RealityInstaller & drag n drop it onto the Terminal Window, Click on the Terminal Window to make it selected & press Return to run the Installer.
