Basic Lingerie Set for Genesis 8 Females by Pretty3D

I purchased the above clothing item and everything works fine when I render under Reality except the stockings. Basically, what I'm seeing is a spike coming out of one leg and connecting to the other leg. This only happens under Reality. Under IRay, the render works fine.

In addition, I exported the stockings as a wavefront .obj, opened the item in Blender, and it looks fine there. When I import the .obj into Daz Studio, and render under reality, the spike is still there.

I contacted the vendor and they basically told me that they don't have Reality, but would look at it if they had it. However, since it's a 3rd party render engine, they suggested I look for help elsewhere. So here I am :)

Does anyone have any idea as to what's happening? This is the first and only time I've every seen anything like this.

Daz Studio version Pro (64-bit)
Reality version
Windows 7 Pro (64-bit)
Intel i7-5820K 3.3 GHz
GeForce Driver 411.70 (GeForce GTX-970)
LuxRender version 1.5.0 Build 15241

It looks like one point of the stockings (the right one) is orientated at the left stockings.
I bet if you delete, in blender, the left one the problem is gone.
Luxrender is very unforgiving about modeling. So the vendor has to solve this.
this would be funny if it weren't happening to me
