Reality Light Settings Not Xnsfring to LuxRender

Postby Nyghtfall » Sat Sep 10, 2016 10:26 pm

I'm working on a project that I have 13 light groups set up for in Reality. 10 of them are set to a color temperature of 2500. The remaining two are using RGB colors. Neither the color temperatures nor RGB settings are transferring to Lux when I start rendering.

I've saved the Reality scene several times, and tried deleting the project resources to force Reality to recreate them, but when I check the Light tab in Lux, all of the default settings are still in place, and I have to reconfigure them again, in Lux.

How do I make Lux to recognize my custom settings?

Ive seen this. Color temps do not carry from reality to lux. Never works for me, so I just dial in the colors once lux is up and running.

Just to verify and at the risk of asking something you've already done, is "Preserve Light Hue" in Scene Configuration checked?

Are you saying you have to select preserve light hue in order for the color temps chosen in reality to carry over?

You also used RGB, so let's take a look at that type of light.

To begin with RGB light is not really a good physical based light and can often be replaced by other types of light.

Using the same test scene as before, I change the mesh light to a yellow color:

I get the following result (CPU accelerated/Mono/Sobol):

Seems okay.

Now I don't know how you are using your RGB or if it is actually in view of the camera, but let us test with the sphere turned into a light using RGB.

Also okay. So I am not really able to replicate your issue.

If your lighting is not tied to geometry you could try to upload scene with just the light setup and I will be happy to take a look at it.

I just tried all of the same tests. They rendered as expected. Now I'm wondering why the same functions had no effect on my project. Ah, well... it's rendering...
