six mesh lights over 180 degrees

Postby Marcel2586 » Fri Jun 10, 2016 7:41 pm

i share my mesh lights with the public.
six lights over 180 degrees preview.jpg

It is in OBJ file, so you have to import it as OBJ with 100 percent scale.
It is Public domain, so feel free to use it as you wish.

Position the light as not to obstruct the camera in Daz Studio or Poser.
Open Reality and rename the lights in Light group to adjust them separately in Lux render, if you do not do this, it will be one mesh light.
You can make a lot of combinations by putting lights on and off.

Here some renders

Lights 3- 4- 5 on

Lights 1- 2- 5- 6 on, 2 and 5 where set to 0,1000 gain
this would be funny if it weren't happening to me

Many thanks and huge props for sharing, Marcel :worship:

I was the first to download it, I think   And it imported flawlessly 8-) I don't know if anyone else experiences the same issues with LuxRender that I do which is when there are more than 3 lights in a scene the RAM usage shoots up to 90% plus and chokes. Fortunately the workaround is painless: I scale the Power and Efficiency down to 0.50 and bring them up in LuxRender ;)

Anyhoo, I did a test render of my muse using your Mesh lights 180 with the BG and floor from Maestro Paolo's Perfect Shot. There's hair clipping though  Lights used are 2-3-5-6 and I'm pretty happy with the result :D

EDIT: Here are the settings I used

Light Settings: Black Body Temperature is set to the max since on my monitor it gives the light a cold white cast, which I like :ugeek:

Thank you very much Bandit. And your test render looks great.
Better than mine!

Many thanks for the kind words, Marcel

Did another version with the new Peach fuzz product which adapts well enough to G2F and used Lacitis's Really Short hair to avoid clipping  Then I realized that her ear shows SSS which is pretty cool  :D

Did another test with Imari, a generation 3 figure I couldn't resist

For the settings I just based it off Maestro Paolo's Victoria 7 presets since it works so well. Hoping the Maestro will release more Generation 3 presets  ;)

I also included the camera and light settings in the earlier post ;)
