It is at the moment a to big hassle to go back to Windows 7
this would be funny if it weren't happening to me

Apart from it (IMO) being flat and boring, as well as some errors when I stupidly updated before there were drivers for some of my hardware, I've had little issues with Win 10.

Most phones these days have more so called spyware built into them. Granted, it can be a bit intrusive though...

if you've updated its better to clean install Win7 if you wish to go back.
so true about phones. i stopped carrying one because of telemarketers/text spam.

free is not enough reason to update IMO. lol

cheers everyone

Funny thing is I like the look of Win10, especially the task-bar as it is less cluttered and you can see at a glance if programs are busy (such as downloading in Chrome as it colours in the background like a progress bar). In all honesty every version of Windows since 98 I have changed the theme to Classic to remove all "Eye-Candy" as I personally find it unnecessary. I have no icons at all on the desktop or the task-bar as I have everything I use regular on the start menu grouped in sections such as graphics apps, programming apps etc so easily found. I don't even have any wallpaper as the only time I see my desktop is when the PC has finished booting then all my 3 monitors have whatever apps i'm using taking up the screen space so wouldn't see any wallpaper anyway lol.

It's quite ironic as for years I have created graphics either for work or programming game UI's and such yet have the most basic/boring desktop/OS UI available. I think it's because growing up with the Amiga, plus Apple Classic (Pre OSX) & Win3.1-98 I spent a lot of years with sparse looking UI's & the cleaner/sparse look works well for me.

At the end of the day it's whatever works for you and gets the job done, in my particular case Win10 works best for me in a lot of ways (and you can stop the privacy invasion very easy with free tools available online). I still have Win7 machines I use but they have specific roles and do not warrant any need to change them so they can stay as they are.

Blasphemy

In 1986 i bought my first Amiga 1000 with Kickstart 1.1 on a 3.5 disk. Then came Amiga 2000 and 3000T and a 4000T with my Amiga 2000 i had Magic WB installed, it was way ahead of its time.

And when i bought a Retina graphics card with 1280x1024, it was stunning and amazing.

Up in my loft I still have my A1000,A500, A500+, A600HD, A1200HD, A1500, A3000 & A4000T(which is a monster with GFX Card, Video Toaster & PPC/68060 Accelerator Card lol). Plus 30 odd other Micros I've owned including my 1st ever, a Sinclair ZX80, however a few of the others I bought a lot later on as the originals I had before where sold to go towards the next.

Other than the Amigas & the ZX80, only a ZX Spectrum 48k (rubber key original & was 16K till I upgraded it myself), A C64 & C128 plus an Atari ST Falcon are the only ones I have owned & kept from when I got them new. Don't even get me started on my console collection

I do love my Amiga, i only have my A2000 desktop, only to bad i never use it anymore because of a blown Paula 8364 chip. Fiddling with a switch to start from a 5.25 inch diskdrive. And that is a impressive collection you have. My gosh, the ZX spectrum, i started in 1983 with the 48K machine with the ZXmicro drive and a midi keyboard for te Spectrum+
