Hi Sigstan,

I used Modo in the past and like it a lot - very robust and lots of plugins around. There used to be a community of very helpful people (back when Luxology owned Modo). I don't know with The Foundry if the support is of the same quality. I wouldn't mind giving it a try again. This is one of the model I created/rendered way back in Modo.

Personnally, I now prefer Blender mainly because at the time I was using Modo, the interface and options in Blender were a bit weak. That is not the case anymore. CGCookie is providing lots of training (free and subscription as well). Kent Trammell is my favorite instructor... this guy knows everything there is to know. There is also lot of free video training on Youtube to learn Blender.
