Blender is a one of the most powerful, fast, effective 3D tools available. And it’s open source! This means that you could be adding real, professional 3D to your visuals today! The only thing that you need is to learn how to use it. I teach a 2-day class on how to use Blender in the field of Motion Graphics and Movie production. As far as I know, this is the only class of this kind. “Blender for After Effects” aims to get you up to speed in using Blender in your After Effects pipeline in the shortest time possible. I will not re-hash material that you can find easily in books and tutorials. This is a hands-on, total immersion class that targets the needs of the motion graphics artist. Why spend thousand of dollars for other 3D programs when Blender can do the job as well and often better? Save the cash, learn how to use Blender and expand your toolbox to include real 3D models and animations today!

    Hi there!
Awesome Plug-in for Blender, thanks for sharing. This is really the missed link to have a good work flow between the two apps. I have 6 years using Blender an After effects and always have problems when try to export camera and object location data.

    So thank´s, thank´s, thank´s, thank´s thank´s! :)

Hey Hernando, glad you found it. I’m gonna post a new patch soon that solves a rounding issues (thanks to Bartek for this) and other small bugs. Hopefully this will help in making Blender a more mainstream tool in the motion graphics world. Spread the word!

Hey Paulo. Very cool stuff you’re doing. Although I’m a LW guy I can’t particularly keep up with the costly upgrades. I use Blender for nodal compositing but shied away from Blender modeling… Recently I’m back into mograph & I need to get back into 3D and still integrate in AE. Just yesterday I searched for blender & mograph and found you. wow! Blender and AE integration!!! ChaChink! Thanks for your efforts and sense of humor. Santa Cruz > Scott’s Valley > Boulder Creek maybe? >> lucky dog, I miss it there. :-) Thank you kindly. I have some teenager blender friends that I’m going to turn on to your site!

    Best.

I wish I could afford to attend this training it sounds great.

Mr Ciccone.I think if you take a similar approach as Andrew from Videocopilot.net.
on making a complete beginners training for blender, and then make tools and products for blender you will be very successful.and help lots and lots of people.

you have the same charisma as Andrew so you will become a supper star in no time.

by the way a plug in for blender like sure-target from Videocopilot will be very useful.

Hi BlindPixel. The class is currently “on hold” pending the release of Blender 2.5. That’s one of the reasons why I started doing the BSG. Thank you for the kind words. As I’m fighting a bit of flu, fever and nausea, I don’t feel very charismatic today :) , I just wanted to do something that was useful to people and the feedback that I received from people like you has been phenomenal. It pushes me to do more. A new BSG episode will be released tomorrow, 3/15/10, and more things are planned. Funny that you mentioned the sure-target deal because I do have an upcoming tutorial that shows how to achieve that effect.

    Thanks again.

As the documentation and the blog say, it’s not for 2.5. This works only on Blender 2.49.
