Re: IG IRAY and Reality not Compatible?
This is not a Reality specific problem, no mattter what 3D app you use (C4D, 3DSMAX, Blender etc etc) any external renderer (Renderman/Vray/Octane/Iray(non Daz)) has it's own way of dealing with materials even if they are the same Tech behind it such as PBR/Non PBR. Almost all have some form of inbu...

Re: OpenCL Error 2
Other people have encountered it. (Not me, though.) this can only be solved by an updated version of Reality. (I'm hoping we'll get one, but I'm starting to feel pessimistic..) Personally I cannot see an update happening to Reality, until a final/stable version of Lux is released. As a former devel...

Re: The Daz Camera.
Useful info, I must mention though that angle of view does vary on 3d programs as it does on real cameras. For example a 50mm lens on a 35mm film SLR will give a different angle of view on a budget Digital SLR, pro digital SLR's tend to have a 1:1 ratio with the film equivalents as they have larger ...

Re: Daz Studio vs Reality IBL rendering
For a start the exposure settings are different between the "Defaults". Not all IBL's are created equal with their GAMMA settings so one renderer may prefer a different gamma to another. Not only that but there are numerous modes to Reality/Lux such as Accelerated etc which will give you d...

Re: Windows 10 update Problems
Windows 10 update can (and normally does) install a generic Microsoft gfx driver which doesn't have OpenCL. Just download the latest driver from your cards site (AMD-ATI/Nvidia) and all should be back to normal.

Re: fireflies with IBL lighting and metal/glass surfaces
Are they fireflies or could they be caustics???, caustics does happen on metal and not just glass/liquids as a lot of people think. As Gederix said removing any bump/normal/displacement maps may help, also geometry resolution but normally only on very low poly items with sharp changes in edges. If t...
Re: Genesis 8
With the advent of Genesis 3, that's pretty much a given, although DAZ itself doesn't say so. That's the reason behind the twist bones in the arms and legs. They're redundant and useless for a still artist, and a pain in the neck for clothing designers trying to map them. But useful for the motion ...
