Re: GTX 1080 TI Open CL problems

Hey Sigstan
Downgrading to 381.65 seems to make it all a lot more stable. I`m now able to use texture combine on simple figures.
Thank you for the tip!

Re: GTX 1080 TI Open CL problems

Lowering the resolution does not seem to work either, though it is a good point. It used to help in complex scenes with the 970 since it had 4gb Vram. I am beginning to be able to render figures if i make sure that all textures are totally removed totally removing all textures and setting them to gl...

Re: GTX 1080 TI Open CL problems

I was using the very default textures V4SmplTorsoM_BKN.jpg and so. ie. 1024x1024 pixels. In the mean time I've tried to install some older Nvidia drivers, but that doesn't seem to work either. Removing all textures doesn't work, As of the last hour or so I haven't even been lucky to render the luxba...

Re: GTX 1080 TI Open CL problems

Cpu rendering is working fine. I'm able to render the luxball on OpenCL now. at least sometimes. A very simple scene with V4 causes the problems. Luxrender stay at the "0 devices" then after about 5-6 minutes or so Luxrender crashes hard. I've tried to edit the lxs and change the line &quo...

Re: GTX 1080 TI Open CL problems

Thanks for the hint! The solution to reality not finding the OpenCL device was top reinstall the drivers using the "clean install" option OK Luxrender launches when pressing "render frame". The scene loads ok. but no image shows up. luxrender says that there is 0 devices Luxmark ...

GTX 1080 TI Open CL problems

I just upgraded from a GTX 970 to a GTX1080TI. I was looking forward to trying out having 11GB of video RAM. Luxmark OpenCL runs fine... I was able to get to second place on the single GPU charts! But Reality 4 Won't recolonize the graphic card! :o I've upgraded the drivers, flashed a new bios, inst...

Re: Reality 5 wishlist

That makes sense! Anyhow I hope you take some of the other suggestions from the wish list into your considerations :-)

Cheers!

Re: Reality 5 wishlist

Hi Paulo I'm glad you find the list useful. "As long as Poser keeps running," .. That's the problem... Reality crashes the host program Poser 1 out of 4 times when I press the "render frame" button. it happens somewhere during the export phase. If there was an option to tick off ...

Reality 5 wishlist

Hi Paulo I hope you are finding yourself settled in after the moving! I've compiled a wish list of features I think would help move Reality forward and make it more interesting for professional animators. you might see some "old timer" requests among the list but there should be some new o...

Re: Wrong Word Length

Ok this might be interesting:
After i reinstalled the intel drivers and everything worked, windows 10 in all its wisdom, chose to install some intel display drivers which made the problem reappear.

I.e try to defer that update, and stick with the intel drivers from intel's website
