Re: AMD Radeon LuxRender users

Got myself a Vega56 and its back to breaking heads with LuxRender. Had the GTX 1070 before it and wow iRay is something else.

Im hoping someone can make a Daz to Blender (ProRender) script - a Daz to Cycles script exists already

Re: How to bring more realism to skin?

Did you compare it with both white or black backgrounds? I dont think that would make a difference based on the effect im after (other than how one pic might look more veiny than the other) I would play with the bump/normal maps settings in reality for the skin in the lux version as they do not see...

Re: How to bring more realism to skin?

here is another example

Cycles: http://4.1m.yt/l33inH0.png

Lux: http://3.1m.yt/Dz9qIIr.png

Here the most significant difference are the lips, but on closer look, you can see tiny bumps around the dark parts of her eyes, pores etc.

Re: Possible solution to OpenCL problems

Here it is for me: CPU Only = 01 GPU Only = 10 CPU+GPU = 11 Maybe two works because only 2 devices show up (the CPU and the GPU). I think my iGPU is disabled from BIOS, hence it doesnt detect it and therefore there is no need for 3 characters. But then again it shows only 2 devices in your screensho...

Re: Possible solution to OpenCL problems

Welcome to the wonderful world of Reality, I love the music that plays in the background too haha.

I remember having this OpenCL 001/010 etc problem with my AMD card too. But that was a while ago.

Re: OpenCL devices not recognized by Lux??

So I went back to the older OpenCL package. And not only is the compilation time waaaay faster, but rendering too. I did the Josina Test 2 again: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-hZUCN3yJs Compilation times: OpenCL 1912 : 15ms OpenCL 2117 : 39719ms In another scene: Rendering speed: OpenCL 1912 : 1...
