This is certainly a heck of a lot easier than the method I used for a night street scene last year. I used the Font to Mesh Converter to make object props, imported them into Studio, and turned them into mesh lights. Kinda time intensive, and the colors were not as easy to control as your method app...

You can drop the glossiness and/or the metallic setting on the skin to get a more matted look. You may also want to try the meshlight, but shrink it. That's easy in Studio by clicking the "sharp shadows" options in the parameters tab. I just achieved the same look with it that I get with t...
