Open CL Driver OSX - never ending Story?

Hi everyone,
I'm new here in the forum. I live in Germany and my English is not very good. please excuse errors.
my first question: there are news regarding the Open CL support for OSX?
I read in the old forum that "hope" is. It does not work well with the latest version of "El Capitan" 10.11.4 and Reality
I also wrote a mail to Mr. Cook, but do not think he answered me.

Hi.

Unfortunately Apple is not putting priority on making their Macs able to work professionally at graphic level. See the current comment by Palmer Luckey, the founder of Oculus, who said that delivering the Oculus Rift to Mac OS is impossible given the sorry state of graphics on the Mac. It pains terribly to admit this, as the Mac is my platform of choice, but the situation is pretty much this. OpenGL is in a similar state.

thank you for the information. it's really sad.
a small comparison from a little OpenCL Bench:

GPU
AMD Radeon R9 M395X Compute Engine,
4096 x 4096 pixel in 87.30 ms
192.17 megapixel per second
807.11 GFLOPS

CPU
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz,
4096 x 4096 pixel in 5358.93 ms
3.13 megapixel per second
13.15 GFLOPS

I hope we can use the power of the GPU sometime.

What about this "Metal" thing they keep talking about?
(this is way beyond my understanding of computer tech, so if you were to say "the graphic fairies don't like it" I'd believe that).

Hi.
Metal is a proprietary API that has nothing to do with the OpenCL deal. In fact Metal is meant to cause vendor lock-in and it's very unlikely to get widespread acceptance. There is a multi-platform, open alternative called Vulkan, but that too, has no much relevance in this case. The issue is the same: Apple is delivering outdated, broken drivers because they don't consider the Macintosh a priority anymore. As I said before, it breaks my heart to write so but it has been years not. It's way past the occasional "slip." iOS is the #1 priority for Apple and the Mac has been neglected.
BTW, see the comment by Oculus about why they don't have VR on the Mac.
