4.3 and hdr ibl

Postby chagadiel » Thu Jun 09, 2016 3:15 pm

Hi paulo
Has anything changed with how hdr ibl works on the new release?. i recently got some exr hdrs and they were working brilliantly with lovely shadows. now on 4.3 on both daz and poser versions they are less dynamic and really lack shadows when there was some. nothings changed except for reality so its got to be the new update.

cheers stu

I will add the rendered subjects are really dark when the background image is what it should like and the exposure has to be cranked up making the background overexposed and still very little shadow

Not only Reality is updated, also Luxrender. It is now 1.6
this would be funny if it weren't happening to me

sibl works fine. the render matched the image with shadows from a sun but exr is really flat and dark

Nothing has changed in the processing of IBL. Are you sure that you are rendering the exact same situation with exactly the same settings? Have you checked all the options, including the acceleration ones? If you could post an example of the two scene, with all the settings involved, that could help.
